My ideas are usually triggered by observations and experiences of existence and awareness of its transience. The interplay of natural forces and ever-changing light are influential. My ceramic forms are hand-built and I find that working the clay and glazes helps me to identify my thoughts and develop my ideas. Experimentation plays a large part in my work and the mixed emotions of apprehension, anticipation and hope on opening the kiln never dull.

My work is exhibited in Warwickshire and I have had pieces in galleries in England, Wales and Scotland. The range of work that I make is constantly evolving; some of it is made to commission and I am always happy to discuss ideas and interpretations with clients.

I am a qualified teacher with years of experience in all sectors of education. It is with passion and pleasure that I combine this with my expertise in Ceramics and a wide range of other Art activities.  I am able to offer Private Tuition at different levels, Group and Individual Workshops and Celebration Ceramic Sessions (eg Birthday parties). These take place in my studio and workshop which is in a village setting. I also do Artist Residencies in Schools and Galleries and run Community Art projects. I work with groups such as Youth Clubs, Cubs and Guides etc, as well as Adult Clubs and Associations. I can also plan and run activities to fit between sessions at Conferences and Corporate Events.

All of the above are organised in consultation with the client in order to ensure that I provide media and activities appropriate to the participants and location. I am always happy to discuss any aspects of a potential arrangement - just contact me by email or phone. I have a portfolio of previous work which can be referred to and used to help make decisions.
